Aubrey Plaza

Aubrey Plaza (born June 26 April 1984) is a performer, comedian, and is known for exuding her wit in a humorous way. April Ludgate is her role on Parks and Recreation. Her web series debut was the Jeannie Tate Show following the time she performed sketch, improv and slapstick at Upright Citizens Brigade Theater Plaza. The show continued to grow with her appearances in Funny People by Judd Apatow and Scott Pilgrim, vs. World. Today is her birthday. Aubrey Christina Plaza was born in Wilmington Delaware the daughter of attorney Bernadette Plaza and finance specialist David Plaza. Her mother is Irish as well as English, while her father hails from Puerto Rico. Plaza graduated from a Catholic all-girls high school in 2002 and from New York University's Tisch School of the Arts in the year 2006. While a student at Wilmington Drama League, Plaza served as the President of the Student Government. Plaza was paralyzed for some period of time in 2004, following a stroke. She is now fully recovered. Plaza is a performer of improv and sketch comedy at Upright Citizens Brigade Theater since 2004. She has also been performing stand-up comedy at The Laugh Factory and The Improv in N.Y.C. Plaza starred as Robin Gibney on E.S.P.N.'s Mayne Street. The actress also appeared as Robin Gibney on The Jeannie Tate Show. Troopers was a humorous scifi program on CollegeHumor with her as the role of Princess. in 2014, Plaza made her debut on the saxophone for the Cassorla film Bona Fide. In 2012 she also made her debut on saxophone in Father John Misty's Hollywood Forever Cemetery Sings. HarmonQuest included Plaza in 2016 for her role as Hawaiian Coffee the gnome. That same year she portrayed Aaron Burr In Drunk History as well as Cat Adams in Season 11 of the C.B.S. Television show Criminal Minds. The role of the actress was revived by her on Season 12. The following year, it was announced that Plaza was to appear on the indie film An Evening with Beverly Luff Linn.
